The Goldstein Story

Morris Goldstein established the family business, Eagle Carbonating Co. in Kent Street Sydney in 1977. This company was re-named Goldstein & Co Pty Ltd.

Goldstein manufactures a wide range of commercial cooking appliances at its modern Manufacturing facility in Smithfield, NSW. Distribution and after sales service are looked after through the company’s state offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.

We use all planned or systematic actions necessary for ensuring that Goldstein products always give excellent performance in service and are a continuing advertisement of this company’s ability to provide customers with a quality product.

Kent Street, Sydney, designing and building soda fountains,
and ice and ice-cream cabinets.
Goldstein & Co supplies the US army with equipment for forward field kitchens and RAN warships with refrigeration services and portable ice-cream making equipment
Goldstein & Co built a new factory at 40 ricketty street Mascot, now supplying refrigeration cabinets to the leading retailers: GJ Coles, Grace Bros and Mcllraths Grocery Stores.
1962-1972. During the Vietnam War, Goldstein & Co were selected to supply refrigeration and cooking equipment to the Australian Army.
After taking over from their father Joseph and in line with new market demands, brothers Col and Hal Goldstein concert to high value-added, capital-intensive manufacturing of word-class commercial cooking equipment, first licensing technology from leading US and European manufacturers and then developing in-house design skills.
Goldstein and Co. acquires premier dishwashing equipment company Eswood Australia.
Australian design award for Goldstein PF 800 series cooking range
Now known as Goldstein Eswood, the company emerges as a major payer in the australian food services equipment industry, receiving ISO9001 Quality Accreditation. Brett Ulman joins the company, becoming the first fourth generation member of the family to work in the business.
This decade sees Goldstein Eswood moving to its new location at Woodpark Road Smithfield, brining Goldstein and Eswood together for the first time.
Goldstein Eswood doubles warehouse capacity and increases production at woodpark road, smithfield to enable faster delivery.
Goldstein and Eswood refresh brand and begin operating as separate entities under Middleby.
